Shop to RelaxBeyond the key findings from our 2022 relaxation study, participants also offered some interesting and useful insights into the types of customers who are using the product to support their wellness; when, why and how theyāre consuming it; and what part it plays in their relaxation routines.
More than half of participants in the Pathfinder study (56%) are parents, and 74% of participants were cohabiting (married or living as married). Of those respondents who are parents, the vast majority had two children. Data below further supports the implication that many Unwind Synergy+ users are parents who begin their nightly relaxation routine by taking the gummies around the time their children go to bed.
Almost two-thirds of respondents lived an active lifestyle as opposed to retired, lending extra credence to leading reasons for taking the product (work demands/stresses; demands of family life; preparation for tomorrow).
The Pathfinder study revealed that 18 percent of respondents use beer, wine or another type of alcohol as part of their nightly unwinding routine. Similarly, 17 percent of participants surveyed said they used CBD products to relax at the end of the day, lending strength to the notion that people are migrating towards relaxation aids that a) are more natural and b) donāt leave users groggy or hungover the following day.
āMovie or showā (18%) and āBath or showerā (11%) were other common inclusions in participantsā relaxation routines, both of which pair well with the Unwind Synergy+ gummies and offer extra inspiration when it comes to creating marketing content.
More than one in three participants reported sometimes feeling groggy or hangover-like symptoms the next day when using products other than Unwind Synergy+ in their relaxation routines.
Elsewhere, the most commonly reported type of āhighā by participants was āRelaxedā (44%), followed by āEuphoricā (18%) and āAmusedā (13%). This supports data expanded upon below that indicates customers are purchasing Unwind Synergy+ gummies not to get high but to relax and unwind at the end of the day.
Most respondents reported using the Unwind Synergy+ gummies between 7 and 9 p.m. This goes to support the inference that users, many of whom weāve already established are parents, are taking the gummies around the time they put their children to bed so they can wind down for the rest of the evening.
Most respondents reported taking the product every day. This makes the subscription program on a 4-week replenishment cycle an ideal recommendation for marketing channels.
Notably, only 4% of survey participants said they purchased the product because they canāt buy CBD or THC due to legalities in their state, and only 16% were ālooking for a high.ā From this it can be inferred that customers are purchasing Unwind Synergy+ primarily to unwind and relax rather than a general desire for recreational THC products.
More than half of participants said they had either no nightly relaxation routine or a routine they donāt partake in on a regular basis. Almost two-thirds (63%) of respondents said the quality of their current wind-down routine was neutral to very unsatisfying. Participants reported several reasons for wanting to relax and unwind at night. The leading reasons are, in order:
Going further, participantsā reasons for purchase are also informative. Almost half (49%) of respondents bought the Unwind Synergy+ gummies specifically to help them relax, and a further 28% did so because they ālove CBDistillery products,ā supporting the early-adopter profile mentioned earlier.
Sound sleep (26%), body relaxation (23%) and mental relaxation (21%) were the three dominant side effects reported by participants across the course of the study, delivering strong evidence to support the intended benefits of the product.
The vast majority of participants (93%) said they used Unwind Synergy+ gummies once per day, and 80 percent of respondents were satisfied with using up to one gummy per day. Only 20% of those surveyed said they consumed more than one gummy per day.
