A movement begins with a desire for change by a group of people with a common goal. A movement evolves as these common goals are shared with others and the movement successfully overcomes potential obstacles or objections.

At CBDistillery, the #CBDMOVEMENT™ is about much more than advocating for our products. The #CBDMOVEMENT™ allows us to be part of the conversation about hemp CBD, helps us identify the common misconceptions, and gives us the opportunity to clarify the confusion caused by the fact that CBD is extracted from cannabis.

As the #CBDMOVEMENT™ sweeps across our nation, people are benefiting by the efforts of those who believe everyone should have access to the facts. As the movement gains momentum, people from all walks of life, professional athletes, retired business professionals, family members, friends, and neighbors, are lending their voices to the cause. Whether you are a vocal CBD enthusiast or have just begun investigating the potential benefits, your support is fanning the embers and fueling the flames of the #CBDMOVEMENT™.

 #CBDMOVEMENT™ And Consumer Education

The success of any movement begins with public awareness. One of the hurdles of the #CBDMOVEMENT™ is to clearly define the differences between hemp and marijuana, alleviate the concerns of an understandably hesitant audience.

We understand the initial skepticism. For decades, the word “cannabis” has been used synonymously with marijuana.

Clarifying and educating the public on the difference between hemp and marijuana is one of the leading initiatives of the #CBDMOVEMENT™. If someone is confused about the differences, consider relaying the following information:

The strong association of the word “cannabis” to marijuana will likely continue to lessen as people become more familiar with hemp oil. Until then, we can continue to let others know that there are two plants from the plant species Cannabis Sativa L, one of which, hemp, does not get you high.

#CBDMOVEMENT™ and Educating the Public on How CBD Works

Those who advocate for hemp-sourced CBD often take the initiative to inform others about the evidence supporting the many potential health benefits. If you have mentioned the impact of CBD in your life or discussed what you have learned during your investigations, you may have mentioned a regulatory system that many people are still not familiar with, the endocannabinoid system.

It’s not always easy to explain how CBD affects the body without encouraging a basic understanding of this essential communication network. If you have ever described the functions of this fascinating system of neurotransmitters and receptors, you are spreading awareness. You may even have revealed a few of the following key points:

If you have discussed any of the potential benefits of CBD, you are spreading awareness and contributing to the momentum of the #CBDMOVEMENT™.

#CBDMOVEMENT™ and Helping Others Make Informed Decisions

When a blossoming trend becomes popular enough, other industries take notice. Before too long, the trend in question is popping up everywhere. While this may seem to perpetuate a movement, it can have the opposite effect.

We have seen this with the increasing popularity of CBD, an influx of “CBD” products that do not contain enough CBD to be of any significant value. If you have shared your knowledge of potentially misleading sales practices or spared someone from purchasing a product that was unlikely to have the potential to make a significant difference in their wellbeing, you are part of the #CBDMOVEMENT™.

As part of the movement, you may have prevented someone from making a disappointing purchase by relaying some (or all) of the following information:

As part of the #CBDMOVEMENT™, you may have also relayed the importance of shopping with companies who post verified reviewsThose little tidbits of information can help people gauge the trustworthiness of a vendor or the validity of a product, but without verification, those glowing recommendations could come from anywhere, including the vendor themselves.

The #CBDMOVEMENT™ Is Inspiring Change

It was The Controlled Substance Act of 1970 that made hemp alongside marijuana illegal when the law designated cannabis as a schedule 1 drug. It wasn’t until the Agricultural Act of 2014 that the government provided legal guidelines differentiating the two plants, defining hemp and marijuana by their THC content. This legislation also opened the doors for hemp cultivation to be determined by individual states.

The 2018 Farm Bill federally cleared hemp for cultivation everywhere, clearing any residual confusion on the legality of industrial hemp.

As the #CBDMOVEMENT™ is steamrolling across our nation, consumers are embracing hemp-derived products. Our joint efforts are inspiring people to learn more about how their bodies function and the significance of maintaining internal balance with the health and wellness benefits of hemp-derived products.

With increased awareness, we find the collective mindset is changing. People are reevaluating the stigmatization of the cannabis industry, learning the significant differences between hemp and marijuana, and sharing information with everyone interested in alternative methods of health and healing. If you have been increasing awareness, you are part of the #CBDMOVEMENT™. As a movement, we are just getting started.

CBDistillery is an influential leader in the hemp industry. Through the #CBDMOVEMENT™, we are sharing information, advocating change, and promoting the significant health and wellness potential of hemp-sourced CBD products.
